Bold Color Invades the Fabric

Today I got out my bold color textile paints and some stencils and had a stash making session.  Pink, orange, red yellow turquoise and green and big hits of black.  Light canvas, osnaburg(cotton) and heavier weight canvas. I really enjoy the textile paints from Jacquard, they are so easy to use. As are the Dynaflo liquid squeeze bottles too. A bit of a dry on the line in the sun, and a heat set in the dryer and these are good to go. Colorful and fun, not to fiber collage and make some new pillows…..and maybe a bag or two.

This was just about at sunset and I was dropping off art at our local association and these trees with sun coming through caught my eye.  Could not resist.  I feel so lucky to live in such a gorgeous part of the planet.  Happy day.

  8. Both beautiful fabric art and photography, Corrine! I am drawn to the blue/green fabric–perhaps because I am by the sea and continually see those constant yet changing colors in the water! Tell us about “dropping off art at the local association.” Inquiring minds want to know!

  15. your coloring of the fabrics Looks wonderful. seems i must go and look out for fabric paints (not too fluid, i also want to stamp with them). so far i used acrylics, but they are too stiff actually, i don´t love their haptics. oh, and nice shots… this autumn is a feast so far!
