Art Journal — She Comes in Colors

5 Flares Filament.io 5 Flares ×

Not sure where she came from, but she sure is colorful….sneaking in some art time last night and this morning,.  Most of my art supplies are packed up for the move, but my work desk still holds the journal and some paints.  Wanting to feel the wind in my hair and a fresh breeze blowing through to clear the cobwebs of my cluttered mind.  Of course she had to be colorful but she looks a bit perplexed to me.  How I feel these days with all that is going on….I wouldn’t mind a dose of her youth to infuse my energy a bit more, but I shall keep on keeping on.  Off to some inspections today so I will try and catch up with you all later, I see a big number of blog posts waiting for me to respond.  Have a marvelous day and by all means be colorful….

  9. Nancy Lee says:

She is very sweet! I think she is peaceful; looking straight ahead in life.

  10. Oh she is terrific, I wonder if my hair would look as good those colours.
I don’t know what she’s thinking but maybe she could do with a few more hours every day?
She’s had time to put on her lipstick so maybe she just got lovely big eyes.

  11. She’s not perplexed Corrine. She just can’t close her eyes in that bloody wind.

  12. She is lovely but no more colorful than your usual! I try to do neutral sometimes but color always slips in. Maybe she looks perplexed because she has been created when she thought you were too busy to have time for art. Yay! that you found time for art. I’m sure these stolen moments are what is helping keep you sane.

  13. pamelaarts says:

  19. Love the wind blowing her hair, and all the bright colors. She couldn’t be anything but happy with all those colors.

  20. She is such a dose of happy color and energy!

  21. You may not know where she comes from, but SHE knows. And her hair says it all.

Hope the inspections go as planned and all will be well.

BTW, I had to laugh at your comment about Sally’s OTT lights. She has a floor OTT light at EVERY chair and on each side of the couch, not to mention three floor and four desk style in her office. So your desire to have a floor lamp was not too wild an idea where I come from (grin).

  22. Amazing that you still find the time and energy to make art. She’s looking a bit stressed out, but all those gorgeous colours will surely be good for her. Hang in there!

  23. The cleaning is over, the food prep is over, and, now, the party (graduation for my step-daughter Sarah) is over. I want to feel like I think she does! Full of energy again. While I love the “whole,” Corrine, I have to admit that I am very taken by your third photo…the close-up of just one side of her face. A variation on your work that is well received here! Have a good Father’s Day with your personal Super Hero!! Mwah!

  24. I love her…I came back to visit her, cause I’m feeling a lot like her today!
