What the dog said

Since I have lots of canine companions…it is only natural that I would be listening to “What the Dog Said” all day every day.  Last night this naive painting came to me and I followed it through to completion.  The “dog” here could be a combination of all our dogs put together since it doesn’t look exactly like any one – well maybe Ryder a bit – but the “dog” is really universal dog, who it is my theory that if aliens walk among us they must be dogs because they have figured out so well how to get us lowly humans to do their bidding and revel in it…

  1. Oh I loove this so much!! You know what a soft spot I have for dogs and they have so much to tell us!!

  2. Dogs have much to say and yet it is my cat who is the master and commander of the household. Maybe it is cats who are the aliens.

  3. That’s so cool…and such a handsome dog.

  4. I could have a dog like this in my house! it would be easy to care for wouldn’t it!
    loving your 2014 stuffs!

  5. I think we would often benefit as humans to be more like dogs. I believe if they could speak in a language we could understand, they would truly have much to say! Love your painting today, Corrine! Hmmmm, is this the first time your have painted teeth?

    wonderful Corinne!! GREAT!

  7. Gorgeous painting sweetie, so raw and emotional, beautifully done my lovely. I had a beautiful English Springer Spaniel, called Candy, when I was in my early teens but sadly she got hold of some warfarin in a local field and there was nothing the vets could do to save her. Bless her, she used to know when I would be home from school and would be sat waiting in the hall. When I got in the front door she would get up on her back legs and give me a hug. I still miss her every day, she was such a cheeky character and such good company, her facial expressions were amazing, one look always said it all tee hee.
    Huge hugs x x x x

  12. I may NEVER get that song out of my head, now.

Dogs are so much more loyal than cats. I remember a joke I heard years ago. Dogs have masters, cats have staff!
