Carolyn’s Cup of Cheer

I haven’t had much time for arting lately so have been feeling a bit sluggish(Work and of course puppy).  I needed a java jolt, and after my coffee I began to doodle a cup with steam rising from it’s center.  I painted some red around it, some blue below it and just scribbled randomly with my uni-posca markers, which made me think of my friend Carolyn Dube and all her lush color, so I grabbed her new stencils Words to Live By and her Crossword stencil and made my cup a colorful journey with pan pastels, some words and some grids.  I call this journal page “Carolyn’s Cup of Cheer”.  Whenever I see her, she makes me laugh, so hard, and we both love color so much, this was the perfect way to uplift my sluggish day.
