Heart’s Road to Joy

So many joyful things are happening right now.  I am so looking forward to teaching next week and am like a busy bee getting all my class materials and notes ready, but I have neglected my own healing practice in my art journal and the need to spread some paint became visceral this afternoon.  I journaled this upcoming road trip of my heart’s road to joy…

Hearts Road to JoyUsing a combination of vision boarding and my own drawing, washi tape, masking tape, sprays, paints, oil pastels and gel pens, the feelings surrounding my trip came to the forefront on this spread.  A dimensional heart, a map, wing, my ever present tentacle hair – built in radar and my feelings of joy all wrapped up in colors I adore…..

Her FaceHere face seemed to work inside my head, a nice simple smile.

JoyAnd joy at spreading paint, dabbing with my fingers and pasting and glueing and stamping that nice big joy on the page.

What is your heart’s road to joy this week?  Share it if you wish. You are always a part of my journey and your visits here fill me with gratitude about the special place we have created in this world and your voices I have come to know and love.  You all travel on this road with me and are as integral a part of my journey as I hope I am to yours. Thank you, thank you, thank you. xox
