Vision Board Collage Soothes Monkey Mind

16 Flares 16 Flares ×

The hamster in the cage, the ants scurrying across the yard, the woodpecker peck, peck, pecking away, squirrel brain, monkey mind, whatever you want to call it….when too many ideas cloud thinking and you’re in a spin, hating that spin your in, because the old black magic ain’t your friend…..

Vision board collage – scraps and bits from the recycle bag, cut up without thinking, the process taking over and the mind going quiet…hands, scissors, glue stick, hands scissors, glue stick, repeat.  Paint squirted randomly, pressed until dry with another piece of paper, making monoprints on mono prints, kind of like corpse pose but with action.  The mind soothes, kinks clear and you are back in your body again just feeling…..

Before paint, after paint…

  26. I love this idea – just cutting and sticking and painting with no overall plan or view. I should definitely try this technique out 🙂
