Follow Your Heart, Not the Rules!
Okay it’s official I am additcted to this idea of trash bubbles – see my post here. Who doesn’t want Happy Trash
Or recycled cereal box post cards, who doesn’t love a cheery message sent from a friend, or better yet from someone you don’t know well…
Tissue and stamps on recycled cereal boxes
A quick sketch notecard that went off to a friend…..
What did you make today?
I like all the things you made here…especially the green postcards. Today I only made one thing…a small piece of art for a friend’s birthday.
All so lovely and creative Corrine, they sure will make someone smile to receive these!
I looooove your postcards, and will next go to read about your trash bubbles! I am making tons of jewelry for a show, and am CRAVING art big time, and your postcards have my mind whirling! Thank you for sharing your art, it is wonderful!
Ooooooooo….the green, then green, I am digging the green today! I made another little painting with a girl sitting in a chair (another one) and used a recycled tea bag to make her dress. I am seeing funky hats now in my head that I can make with the tea bags.
My favorite color is green!
Love your trashart! I too have been playing with trash the last couple of days although my trash is of the fiber type. It is a relief working with something that doesn’t have to turn out a certain way, if it still looks like trash I can just scrap it and start over again.
You make trash a treasure! No wonder you’re addicted and I don’t think there is a cure for you, thank heavens!
it’s always fun to see what you are going to come up with next using “trash” or rather “treasures”!
No one in their right mind wouldn’t grin receiving those. Love the cereal boxes, especially! Looks like you had a fun weekend. x x
I am intrigued by the trash bubble idea! Great idea to make postcards from cereal boxes.
Just give in, Corrine. I love making smaller works of art on cardboard or even the coasters I collect. Yours, here, are amazing and what a freeing feeling to do art on these surfaces. Who wouldn’t love getting that card from you?
All good stuff!
What did I make today? So far, only coffee…..
Your green postcards are wonderful, and so are the 2 boxes-
I would say I love happy trash, too and love your sketch , the wild woman!!
But your green cards are gorgeous, Corrine.
I read about trash bubbles earlier and explored your link. What an unusual idea! But that’s what I expect from you….. I too make most of my postcards on recycled cardboard though mine are from Pepsi cases at Costco. I love the sturdiness and blank side. I finally have Dan trained to save every box cardboard of any type because it’s sure to become a base for something! (those lovely green cards wouldn’t be headed to MMSA would they?)
Your postcards are wearin’ o’ the green! Beautiful! Your “trash” is always a treasure to behold.
I am working on 4 mini cardboard pieces – I’m making them from box flaps. xxoo
Amazing as always, Corrine. I am totally crushin on that green. You have truly inspired me today!
I’m loving all this green! Your postcards are fantastic!
wow are you on your game! day after day of off the charts great art work. YOU GO! thanks for the trash bubble, it was such a nice surprise. It really made my day. Your green postcards are so good, I’m sure everyone is requesting to get on your mailing list.
thanks for thinking of me,
I will be doing this … I forgot all about it this week … Fuzzy head!
Anyhow, quilted, embroidered, collaged …. To do: knit and spin
You are on a recycling roll! Love what you are doing with all this “trash”!
So far this week I’ve made nothing! I often have to wait for the weekend. Actually, last night I managed to make the front and back covers for a journal. Hoping to sew the binding tonight.
I love your green cards! I hope I can make some before I go on a trip.
Read about your “bubble” trash earlier, Corrine, and am intrigued! I even have my husband on the lookout for bubbles at work! But, today, well, your postcards have excited me. I am an avid recycler, but now look at my recycling with an eye on what I can UPcycle in my studio! Your are such an “enabler,” but in a very good way! Mwah! Kay
So glad that you are addicted, Corrine! I’m pleased to see that you have embraced Trash Bubbles and are spreading the message far and wide…. The piece you made for Jill was most definitely Happy Trash! Like I say at the end of each of my blog posts, Happy Trash to you, until we meet again!
I’ve never thought about using cereal boxes…what a splendid idea!
