Wanting to play some more at Carolyn’s A Colorful Gelli  Print Party, I used a painted background journal page and these gelli printed pages…to create this tribal woman above.  Lots of other artists are play with gelli, see what all the fuss is about…click above or on the link in the sidebar.

  1. she’s fantastic! Fierce and fun all at once!

  2. Fabulous pages 7 she looks like a strong woman, there. I’ve just this minute been making some pages myself, along with Connie Rose – vibes across the water & back again! I’m off to the party……..x

  3. I want that hair! Really I want that hair. Mine is so fine it barely holds a curl let alone go up like that – it was rough for me in the 80’s with the big hair trends because no matter how much hairspray and gel I put in – it never stayed! The way you’ve done the colors on the face makes me think of a light and dark side of a person’s personality- love it!

  4. She’s saying “I hate my hair; please don’t take a picture”. I kid, I kid. She’s “woohoo” fun.
Love the Gelli Printing with Carolyn. I make some bookmarks with some and going to make a journal with all the pages. Just for fun and something else to do with them… and maybe a give-a-way.

  5. love her blue nose and orange lips. I finally ordered a gelli plate for myself. no more planning ahead to make gelatin and clearing space in the fridge for it and feeling pressured to do nothing but gelatin prints before it disintegrates. I’m itchy for its arrival – should have it in time for the studio party!

  6. So great, Corrine!! I love all things tribal. I may have to look into this Gelli craze. You sure look like you are having fun with it.

  8. she is AWEsome!

  9. Wow Corrine, she looks as a mix between an eskimo-and a strong wonderful black woman- —
such a grand expression you gave her…she speaks to me!
I would like to try Geli printing, have read about it on Patty Szymkowicz `blog, some time ago- and it is fantastic!

  10. Corrine this is fantastic, I love the effects, wonderful art work!

  11. I’m in love with this gelli obsession you and Carolyn have. I love the look of the pieces you get to play with after a gelli session, too. Your lady is feisty and I like that in your art, too. I’ll have to do this process the old fashioned way until I can get one of those plates.

  12. They are fun, aren’t they ?
Your tribal woman looks fiercely colorful !
    Happy Monday !

  13. I love your powerful marks, and your brave new woman!

  14. I want to join your tribe! I think I’ll have to check out the gelli stuff..no idea what it is…I guess I have been living under a rock.

  15. Really great page. I thought you were depicting a Mayan to commemorate the end of the world! LOL.

  16. Ha! So fun! I love the wild earthiness.
