Keeping it Simple — Project #4 Stitching Rags

2 Flares 2 Flares ×

Raggedy wreath needed some support, it was lonely and lost all by itself on the wall, so I stitched and knotted once again to give that wreath some extra bling.  A 12×12 square of felted wool and some strips in random collage became funky squares to sew through with waxed linen thread.  A bit of red, a bit of yellow and a bit of blue and the raggedly garland was born…and oh, the Santos doll gets another fashion show…

  1. Love the sewn fabric squares. Can’t go wrong with that. I want to know where you’re hiding that mannequin.

  2. Your Santos looks quite happy being a model for your fabulous fabric.

  3. WOW. WOW. WOW. I’m in love. Amazing what you can do with felted wool and fabric scraps. Your Santos makes the perfect model for these projects, too.

  4. I Love all this shabby chic, but it’s so time-consuming. In between handmade cards, and food stuff I don’t know where you find the time.

  5. Just amazing. Those squares are adorable! Your Santos doll is stylin’ now!

  6. I LOVE these! I’ve always loved the “raggedy stitch look” too! (that Santos doll is so cool!)
