The Inspiration Card Deck is off in the mail to Jess Brogan. The process took longer than I thought even though I initially followed Karen’s advice and underpainted the whole deck at once. I used matte spray paint from the can and laid everything outside on newpaper and gave them a good hit of the light blue on both sides. Once dry, I stamped each card with a pattern Cling stamp, the stamp I like, what it looked like in green Staz-on was to me just gross, (Oh no, creativity panic sets in) so I pulled out a batch of my painted papers and cut up some rectangles to go over most of the blue and green. I then stamped all over with a faux handwriting type stamp, and this effect was much better. Went to work finding quotes and typing them into the computer to print out, covered them with inky mist for an antique effect and ripped the edges because I like ripped edges, yes I do. That’s the photo of the stack you saw from the last post. Not done, not done, at least not quite…bag of washi tape, snip snip, better, still not done. Doodle, something I love to do but almost never do any more. I took the white pen-touch by Sakura and doodled away. Slapped my labels on the back and DONE, yeah!!! Next year I might take a whole new approach … I truly can’t wait to get my deck back because I know it will be fabulous and seeing it on Karen’s blog made me want to do, so I did. Process is everything after all and each step leads to a new horizon uncharted. Hope you enjoy the pics.
