Laboring on Labor Day Weekend

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

Laboring.  Almost finishing the patio, more rocks to move and my back has forbidden it for today.  The Superhero is constructing our new wood storage shed because the old one became fire wood last year. I did manage to split some wood this morning, until the back said enough, lots more of that to come as well. The yellow jackets are out and about and decided the newly split oak was worth investigating so I headed in.  The dogs are lolling about in the cool weather, what’s wrong with that picture, they nap, we work?  Looking forward to making some art tomorrow on the true Labor Day, a bit of creative effort to keep the muse ignited and the glue stick flowing.  Enjoy your weekend whatever is bringing you joy…

  6. What rocks????!!!!!! 😀 😀 Looking good! Be careful with the back. Have fun sparkling!

  7. Love that clearing with the coloured chairs!

  8. These rocks look great already but will be fabulous when finished. Mind your back!

Been looking back at your last few posts, I need a dust up in my studio too. Love your 40 day growing book. My email to you bounced, thanking you for 3 comments!!!!!!! thanks too for your encouragement. Keep collaging! x

  9. Hi Corrine-
Boy are you industrious, chopping wood and carrying stones! Very Zen of you. The patio looks so lovely. I really love shade and trees, perfect patio in my opinion. The garden path is wonderful too . I hope you enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend. Labor Day-you’re supposed to take a break, learn from your dogs. 😉

  10. what an inviting space! all you need are some big collage sheets hanging from the trees set out to dry 🙂

  11. What a fabulous patio you have! So inviting….We used to have yellow jackets terrible in Tx then we started making a concentrated effort to find their nests usually on the eaves of the house……so once a month hubby would go around with the spray can that shoots from far away…….and it cut down on our wasp population greatly. Hugs! deb

  12. Isn’t labor day supposed to be a day we take a break from labor ? My David and I are busy with a little bathroom fix up but we will be taking nice relaxing breaks too.
Enjoy your time with your Superhero !

  16. Such a haven you have created…you and your super hero. Take care of that back…you only have one.

  17. have I really been gone from your blog this long? I simply don’t believe how much I’ve missed. I love the look of the bricks, but where are the rocks (grin)?

  18. Wow, Corrine! This is looking gorgeous! I am trying really hard not to start landscaping the new house…it must be the cooler weather-all I want to do is be outside-but there are plenty of inside projects for me for a while. 🙂

I bet you will have some lovely get togethers in that outdoor space!
