A Whole Lotta Stamping Going on

I was WAY behind on my icad’s.  Last week work proved to be most busy which I am grateful for because it allows me the luxury of the abundance of the materials I can play with, so thanks to work I have been a crazy stamping fool this weekend, not to mention gelli rub my belly. I used the gelli plate and hand made stamps on this sheet for mail art.

I promptly cut this apart and made some post card fronts with these stamps I carved. I love  the energy of patterns so…

Here are the stamps themselves – at least the latest three…

Then icad mania began and it was so much a release of joyful energy…

And I got two fantastic pieces of mail yesterday – a seriously fun pun from the ever vivacious Karen at I Am Rushmore, mail art maven and all round hysterically funny blogging queen

Her puns cracked me up!

And from my pal Dori who has yet to be convinced of the benefits of blogging, but who has discovered Mail Me Some Art, Karen’s other blog full of fun swap ops which Dori has been participating in – you can see some of her other pieces there.

Underneath that wonderful floral and bee tape is a secret velum pocket with a note inside for me, she does totally cool mail art, you want to be on her address list.

I think that’s it, oh yeah, I gardened, weeded, cooked a seafood lunch for the Superhero for Dad’s day, walked the dogs twice, oh and I saw and Indigo Bunting today for the first time ever, WOW – DO YOU THINK IT’S THE 3 CUPS OF JOE? Most happy Father’s Day to all you cool dad’s out there who live with us crazy bloggers…

  1. You took extra vitamins!!!! 😀 😀 😀 Lots of good energy here.

  2. great stamps! I’m glad you convinced Dori to join MMSA because now we’re on each other’s address lists. I love making new mail art friends. we’ll work on her about that blog thing….

  3. it is exciting to see my card on your blog! thanks, Corrine! I am not opposed to doing a blog…..just TOTALLY clue-less! So old school, am I! I welcome, and invite, all mail pals! xoxo
p.s. love your fabric and stamps….so fab!

  4. Although I don’t have a gelli plate, I’m going to do some monoprinting this week. I MUST. You have put the idea in my head and I can’t wait any longer. Especially if I don’t spend a lot of time at the hospital with my friend. Thanks for the awesome inspiration.

  5. I don’t know what a gelli plate is, but it does cool things for sure, love the stamps especially the one on the right, you have quite a way with the use of color, must be fun getting art in the mail.

isnt it fun to carve your own stamps and use them? you are doing a great job carving! And the colors are the best!

  7. Marilyn J. Rock says:

I have the Gelli plate and have yet to use it. I love what you did with these! And; your hand-carved stamps sure make for added texture and wonderful patterns!

  8. Wowza ! You have a beautiful, juicy energy flow going. If it is the joe, keep drinking it ! 😉
Those stamps ? Luscious and perfect. What a great imprint they make when used that way. Luck mail friends.
I hope the week has good flow for you too, Inspired One.

  9. I just love your ICADs! Actually I love it all – your creative frenzy is so full of energy, color, fun and I like every one of them. What are your stamps carved on? They actually look like raised elements have been added rather than carved away…I’m trying to think how I could replicate that….maybe with hot glue or caulk or something….hmmm. Love the results. Again! 🙂

  10. I have missed you!!! dear Corrinne. Thank you so much for the sweet comments …I feel so assured….
reading this post makes me want to make some postcards…I love the energy in your art……

  11. what kinda coffee do you drink?? had three cups today but not so sure I will get done what you got done! nice mail art, can’t get enough of that !!!

  12. Wow! Stopping by your blog tonight is a real pick me up – such vibrancy! Love all of the colors!

  13. Wow! You have given me so much inspiration this morning! I have been hunkering down with work and have not visited in a while – look at all the wonderful things I have missed! I have used up a bunch of my great papers, so next week will be a paper-making week. Your stamp ideas will be at the top of my list. Love the simple carvings on solid blocks. So simple, but looks soo cool. Thank you thank you!

  14. Hi. I have a question…

    that’s ALL you did?!

holy moly. One time I did half this and had to go to emergency.

Those are great cards. As soon as I heard about ICAD I ran and made 8 surfaces. Then I went on vacation. Then I finished two other things. I still haven’t done my IC. Whether AD or not.

Do you think I could do 5ICAD and still get done?!
