Virtual Beach Vacation: Carolyn Dube

I really wanted to participate in Carolyn’s Virtual Beach Vacation but had been avoiding doing anything about it.  Today I did two things I almost never do.  I journaled a page to a specific theme – my virtual beach vacation and I actually made myself something realistic. So kudos to Carolyn for my inspiration to join her fabulous beach party.  Hop over to her blog and join too!I took a walk down memory lane and remembered all the times I spent at the beach with my son when he was little.  We used to live in a seaside town and we went to the beach nearly every day for a couple of years.  These are just some of the things that popped into my head.

Flops of flip…

castles of sand…

shiny objects from the sea…=======equals=

Fun Fun Fun, thanks Carolyn – this was fun.

  2. Such a great page in your journal. I’ve heard flip-flops make great stamps, too. The colors are SO beachy. Reminds me of the 80s.

  3. Love the beach and the colors you’ve used are perfect! I so wish I wasn’t land-locked!!!

  4. What a happy couple of pages – it is a different process to create a journal page to fit a specific theme or challenge, isn’t it? Yours worked well – I’m totally ready to go to the beach!

  5. Your virtual beach vacation looks like fun! I have never seen sea glass, but it looks beautiful on pictures. Do you still enjoy the index card challenge?

  11. I love this! So glad you joined the virtual vacation! How amazing that you had all those beach trips with your son! If I lived near an ocean I don’t know if I would ever get a thing done – I’d just walk along the beach and look for shiny objects. I love your colors and the textures you created to support your works and art. It has inspired me to play around with some more texture making tools- thanks for the spark!
