Goodness and Play

This weekend has been full of
goodness and time to play.

The goodness first…

This sweet pink dot topped
pincushion jar full of collage
making wonderfulness and
calligraphy card arrived
from Jennie on Friday.

I just love this card,
Jennie’s drawings
and the quote!

All of this was tucked
inside that tiny jar,

This bowl full of
goodness arrived
from Sue. One of
her stitched and
embellished hearts,
fab fabric wrapped
beads and a wonderful
bookmark, just the thing
to keep me from folding
over my pages…

And…. a stamp
Aren’t some of these
really beautiful.

Can’t thank you enough
ladies for my belated
birthday gifts.

Oh, and the jar in the first photo is a thrifty
find at 50 cents which I collaged and put
some led lights inside.  The paper is vellum
so the light shines through in a soft glow.
Love that thrifty goodness.

I also did some playing, made some
cloth paper, which I think I made too
stiff, too much glue, not enough water
I suspect.  But it can be cut up and used
in lots of places, there are no mistakes right?

Fun anyway and
a sneak peak at something
I am playing around with…

Using up the stash,
using up the stash.

Off to listen to some
singing birds and catch
a little more windy sun.
Spring is finally here,
