Trying To PLay Catch-Up

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

Many things to accomplish in the next few weeks,

projects that have been hanging around undone.
Isn’t that always the way.
The rain, which we desperately
needed again, will help push me
to the studio table to get cracking.
A few sneak peaks…
Die-cut flowers made
from packaging…
And mags…
And some mail needs returning…
Die cutting and embossing.
Love this big shot machine…
I used to work for an engraved printing
company back oh 25 years ago and
fell in love with embossing then.  It used
to require hand carving of a steel die that
took intricate and precise artistry.
Then came copper plate embossing,
where an image could be burned into
a plate with an acid bath.  Now we have
tools for the everyday person like these new
machines that let us all play with the medium.
I adore it.  Who knew?
Happy Friday all.
