Orange in the Garden and a Ship of Sparkly Dreams

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

The light seemed just right last night
to take some shots in the garden.

My favorite of all, the orange tulips

Shades of orange with some
creamy yellow.

The white violets

We had many violets
here when we moved to
this house, but the white ones
just sing in the garden with
their touch of purple centers.

And the yellow lamium are in bloom,
for a short time before they return to
their green and white variegated splendor.

The long view up the hill behind
the house.

So to leave the garden and sail on
a ship of sparkly dreams with all
that orange, purple and yellow
from the garden.

One more from Oakland.

  3. What lovely violets (& tulips!) I see the purple ones on a wild walk. I'm working on my little woodland whick is also my shelter belt. Trees need to start small but watching them grow is wonderful!

The neat thing about art is we draw inspiration from so many things around us. I think we're fortunate to be able to see the world in this light. Love your tulips and your painting is beautiful; the colors are luscious. Kudos to your son for the great press! xxoo
