The Tribe

While the classes were fabulous,
the art expanding,
the food delicious and hot,
which we needed in the cool air,
none of it would have meant anything
without the companionship and sharing I experienced.

Tears and laughter, laughter and tears,
copious quantities of both.
Late night fire soaking wine drinking talks
about art and life, photography and journals,
dogs and David’s.

Cabin-mates Kim, Carolyn, Stacy(my roomie),
Kriss, EB and Leslie and an adopted Angel
with a soft southern drawl, teachers
Judy and Sarah are magnificent
goddesses one and all.

I feel like I had come home.
Nurturing and respectful,
wild and willful and the
biggest heart walking ever
Ms. Kim who shared and shared
rocks, birds and beads.

I can’t wait to see them all again.

So lucky to have met each and every one.

And so lucky to have met you! And it was so amazing to hang out with the tribe in front of a warm fire and share all our stories.

Can it be a week since it all ended ? It feels like it was long ago yet just yesterday at the same time !
I love your account of our adventures and I love hearing all your soul and your inner artist got out of the wonderful thing that was Squam 2009.
Missing my housemates so much today ! Wish we could get together this rainy afternoon and play – in a warm place though ! I will make it happen soon – promising you this here, in writing !
    Happy Sunday, Corrinne !

  3. Oh Corrinne, what a beautiful account of the time that took place. Your words ring true. I too am the lucky one!

  4. DITTO!!! I so loved meeting you and am thrilled that we will meet again soon! Despite the cold weather I miss our little tribe! I want to be back in that freezing living room sharing stories by the fire.
